News from Bangladesh
Excited children, staff development workshops, film crews…
MRDF Programme Officer Mandie Jones had an action-packed trip when she visited a partner in Bangladesh.
MRDF is supporting a project which works with street children in the capital city, Dhaka. Not only do they provide the children with somewhere safe to sleep, but they also offer educational opportunities and increased access to healthcare. Their work is vital in an area where street children are often at risk of abuse and imprisonment.
Mandie had the opportunity to hear incredible stories of hope and empowerment as she worked alongside staff members and spoke with the children.

Hopeful steps in Haiti
Over £180,000 has so far been donated by individuals and churches across the UK in response to MRDF's Haiti appeal. Funds from the appeal are being channelled through the Methodist Church in Haiti and Action by Churches Together (ACT) International.
Over a month after the earthquake wreaked havoc on Haiti, civilians remain at risk from poor sanitation and water-borne diseases such as cholera and typhoid. MRDF funds have provided over 10,000 Haitians with access to crystal clear drinking water and proper sanitation.
