We will need your views!
- London childcare providers survey 2010
Last year an amazing 363 of you responded to our first annual London childcare providers survey. With the results we were able to highlight top issues to London decision-makers and the Department of Children, Schools & Families. This year, with both London and national elections, we want to make sure that we can represent the voice of London childcare to councillors and MPs.
We will shortly be sending out the survey link - if you are a provider, please fill it in, or if you work with providers please circulate it to as many people as possible. It will also be available on our website. The results will be presented at our annual London childcare providers forum in July.

United We Stand: A Voluntary and Community Sector Manifesto for London's Children and Young People
On Wednesday 3 March 2010 Daycare Trust, along with 14 other children's charities in a London Child Policy Forum, launched 'United We Stand: A Voluntary and Community Sector Manifesto for London's Children and Young People'. It sets out the changes needed to improve the future for London's children and young people.
Candidates for the 6 May 2010 local elections were asked to sign up and support key pledges.
Childcare charter
Daycare Trust has launched a national Childcare Charter which includes a 6-point manifesto on early childhood education and care. New Daycare Trust research with Bounty magazine shows that mothers' voting decisions are likely to be affected by the political parties' policies on childcare.
