Make a croc puppet at the Museum

A jumpsquiffling June half-term

'There is
so much beauty in the countryside in June. The lovely pink dogroses are in full bloom along the hedges and wild honeysuckle is plentiful.' Roald Dahl, My Year

We’re celebrating Roald Dahl's love of nature here at the Museum, where a whoppsy-whiffling array of half-term events awaits. Join us to make a magical Minpin tree-house, or an Enormous Crocodile puppet. If music is more your thing, follow the buzzyhum to James Carter's workshop for a beastly hour of wild guitar music and rhymes that roar! If all that isn't green enough for you, you can pick up our new self-guided Countryside Trail and walk in Roald Dahl's steps to explore the lovely countryside around Great Missenden.

 Grubtown Tales  Upcoming:
Grubtown Tales ImageOn Bank Holiday Monday 31 May, we’re thrilled to be welcoming the highly-acclaimed Roald Dahl Funny Prize winning author Philip Ardagh, who will be sharing some of his hilarious and decidedly daft Grubtown Tales with visitors aged 8+. There’ll be a chance to make a wearable Grubtown beard (to rival Beardy Ardagh’s own fine specimen) and a classic Grubtown Quackling Duck. We expect this event to fill up fast so please call us and book early to avoid disappointment: 01494 892192.  Visit the new Grubtown website and enter the story writing competition for a chance to win a school visit from Philip. Further information.
