A week of swashboggling storytelling… Join us this February half-term for swiggles of swashboggling storytelling and the chance to share a bit of piggery-jokery with some Roald Dahl Funny Prize winners. Liz Pichon will introduce you to her hilarious Tom Gates books on Monday 13 February, and Peter Bentley and Jim Field will be sharing their book Cats Ahoy! on Thursday 16 February. On top of all this we have workshops galore including Valentine's day chocolate decorating, BFG drama workshops, and Squiffing shadow puppets. Phew! It's free admission on Thursday 1 March from 3.30pm to 5.30pm for our after-school party to celebrate World Book Day. Roald Dahl's Fantabulous Facts is one of 8 new books you can pick up from the Museum Shop in exchange for your World Book Day voucher. There'll be treats in Café Twit and you can join in with games, storytelling and crafts. |

Our entirely refurbished Solo gallery, featuring Roald Dahl's original Writing Hut and a phizz-whizzing array of new interactive displays and exhibits is now previewing until it opens officially just ahead of the Easter holidays.The new gallery is packed with secrets and surprises! Come and explore a replica World War II Gladiator cockpit and discover fascinating facts about Roald Dahl's RAF experiences; pair up as Roald Dahl and Quentin Blake for a writing and drawing activity, and measure your sparkiness on our Sparkometer.
