Ideas, not money, should drive the world of non-profits - our latest editorial

Money may not be the root of all evil, but do charities care too much about pounds and pence? Read our latest editorial to find out why charitable success can't be measured just in revenue growth.

The public may cut back on charity donations as the downturn wears on

As the economic downturn continues, people are more likely to cut back on giving to charity, rather than cutting their spending on clothes, food and fuel.

The latest figures from our Charity Awareness Monitor show that 42% of people expect that they will have to cut their charitable giving over the next 12 months. This has increased from just 34% in 2008.
